本研究では，学校教育の現場において，階層的構造により構成されている科目において「わからない」ことをどのように表現できるのかというデータを調査・蓄積するとともに，その理解・表現段階に応じた指導方略を設計し，システム開発を行うことを目的としている。
2021年度は，階層的構造より構成されている科目である「数学」を対象とし，2つの取組みを行った。ひとつは，大学生300名を対象とし「算数・数学の好き・嫌い」，「算数・数学の得意・苦手」，またその理由について調査した結果から「わからない」ことの分析を行った。その結果，「わからない」ことから嫌い・苦手の意識が生まれている可能性が高いことがわかった。また，「わからない」といっても，「何をやっているのかわからない」という思考停止の状態，授業がわかりにくいことで理解できないという状況，数学で用いられる「記号」がわからないという状況，など様々な要因があることがわかった。そのため，学習者の「わからない」の根本的な要因を基に支援方略を検討することで，学習者の「わからない」を「わかる」に変化させる可能性が見いだせた。もうひとつは，「できる・できない」が階層構造になっているのかの検証を「2次関数」をテーマとして行い，学習者の理解段階に応じた指導方略の設計の可能性を見いだした。
さらに，システム開発を行うにあたり，既存のノートテイキング支援システムの実践を通して，学習者の「わからない」を可視化するための検討を行った。 -

This study employs Actor-Network Theory (ANT) as a theoretical framework to elucidate the socio-technical network structures that facilitate the impromptu and collaborative knowledge construction of higher education students using ICT. The main achievements of this research are threefold. Firstly, from a theoretical perspective, the study introduces the concept of performance to ANT, thereby updating the notion of agency. Secondly, insights were gained from case studies of seminar practices in higher education and fieldwork conducted both domestically and internationally. Lastly, the study developed educational materials for teachers to design environments that enhance student agency.

In order for Nakano City to embrace the diversity of its residents in terms of disability, nationality, sexual orientation, etc., and to become a place where everyone can live as they are, we have engaged with various groups and supporters who have been working separately. We set up meetings where representatives from each group could gather and established a voluntary organization, Nakano Diversity Watchers, to connect the Nakano City Office, businesses, educational institutions, and more.
To continuously monitor the promotion of diversity in Nakano City, we held the Nakano Diversity Festa every year to report on the results of our initiatives. Additionally, we launched a website to share information and address the issues each group works on. This project became a good example of field-generated research that effectively merged research and practice. -

In this research, we aim at developing an action research that challenge the problem of under-developing among the children and youth who are in socio-economical impoverished status and are suffering from transition problem from the private area to public sphere and from under-growing of socio-emotionality. We investigated and explored the conditions for building learning environment where impoverished children and youth with various risks would be given socio-cultural and performatory experiences that are not provided from schooling nor from home. We theorized the concept of the third space as soci-cultural and performatory technology, which is societal institution that re-distribute the social capitals for impoverished children from volunteering adults.

The purpose of this research is to clarify how developed country collaborate with developing countries through educational development project.The authors analyzed relationship between educational challenges and sociocultural contexts in Myanmar, the Philippines, Palestine, Cambodia and some other countries.A number of challenges were identified, including power imbalance between students and teachers, regional gaps in the educational environment，school systems that are over reliant on the effort of teachers and the dissemination of new educational methods.
In addition, the authors clarified that it is necessary to make a long-term commitment, support collaboration between different organizations, consider the layer of development project and mutual communication among people who are involved in the project were indicated. -
Designing a Technology-Enhanced Learning Environment based on a Participatory Design Model for Physically Challenged Students in Special Needs Education using a Tele-Presence Robot

This research developed a model for designing a technology-enhanced learning environment that supports physically challenged students in special needs education using a robot named OriHime. OriHime was designed to facilitate their social participation and performs as an avatar. Since OriHime was introduced into special needs education in Osaka, the learning environment has been gradually modified to support student learning. The authors collected data on the practices developed by teachers and students in collaboration with researchers and the developer based on “participatory design model”. The model was constructed as the result of an analysis of how the learning environment was modified by the stakeholders, the role of researchers and the developer and the effects of their intervention, the kinds of activities that were created by the students and teachers, and how the students developed.

The objective of this study is to identify design principles of learning environment in higher education in order to cultivate ‘Global Personnel’ who struggles in global field. As a case study, the authors focused ‘X University’ which has large amount of graduates who work in intercultural settings, and interviewed linkages between experiences in the university and consciousness of working in global field. The authors arrived at three conclusions in order to design learning environment in higher education: 1) linkages between individual experiences before university admission and working in global field, 2) opportunities to reflect what ‘I’ want to be, 3) friendship which encourage self-determination, and 4) opportunities to define which field is suitable and capacity building.

ARによるフィールドミュージアムの構築を通した学習環境のデザイン

本研究の目的は、新しい情報教育のあり方のモデルとして、地域と連携したフィールドミュージアムのデザインを提案することである。具体的には、現実の環境にCGや画像、映像などの情報を付加し提示する拡張現実(Augmented Reality 以下AR)技術を用い、学習者と地域が協働してフィールドミュージアムをデザインする。この活動は、現実の都市、地域、自然環境にAR技術によって歴史的画像、地域、自然環境についての様々な情報を埋め込むことで、現実の都市、地域、自然環境そのものをミュージアムにする試みある。このように学習者が自ら現実の環境に情報を付加し、共有することで新しい学習環境をデザイン可能である。本研究では、このような取り組みを通して、新しい情報教育のあり方について再考しモデルを提案する。
平成26年度は、ARコンテンツをエンジニアでなくても容易にデザインできる環境を構築し、学習にも十分用いることを可能にした。具体的には、基本的な環境として、ARプラットフォームを用い、コンテンツを作るためにブログの記事やエクセルなどのファイルをAR用に変換容易なプログラムを作った。これにより、学習者がスマートフォンを通したフィールドミュージアムのデザインに専念できるようにした。
これらの環境を利用して平成26年度は下記の3つの実践研究を行った。ひとつは、研究代表者が担当した横浜の町を舞台にしたフィールドムージアムの構築である。平成26年度は、横浜市と連携し、関東大震災で被害を受けた横浜の当時の写真や絵葉書を用いたAR体験を通して、災害時にどう対処すべきかを考えるツールを開発し、合計6回の実践を行った。
ふたつめは、研究分担者の久保田が担当したフィリピンの大学間連携の実践である。日本とフィリピンの大学生間でARを活用したフィールドミュージアムのイメージを共有するため、日本人学生らが事前に制作したARコンテンツをフィリピンで実際に使った。これをもとに来年度の大学間連携によるARを活用したフィールドミュージアムの計画を具体化する。
3つめは、研究分担者の岸と今野が担当したインドにおける実践である。事前調査として、岸と今野の授業でARコンテンツ制作の実践を行い、学生がフィールドミュージアム構築のためのARコンテンツを制作する際の課題点を明らかにし、その支援の方法について検討した。2つの大学における実践研究の結果、データ編集の必要性、公開を目的とした情報の扱い、相互参照ができる授業設計の3つの支援が必要であることがわかった。この研究結果は日本教育メディア学会の研究会にて発表した。その後、事前調査の知見を考慮して、3月にはインドでフィールドミュージアム構築のためのARコンテンツ制作を行った。実践に参加したのはインド人中学生17人と日本人大学生9名である。4つのフィールドサイト(ブッダガヤ市内、スジャータ村、ニーマ村、コンガリア村)でフィールド活動を行い、そこで収集したデータをもとに合計104のARコンテンツを制作した。本実践の成果は、平成27年度の日本教育工学会の研究会にて報告予定である。 -

This study proposed the principals of designing a learning environment for learning through boundary-crossing, where students experience learning leading development out of their belonging community. Since Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is a powerful tool for collaboration in education, educators pay more attention to ICT for conducting a collaborative distance-learning project with heterogeneous groups. Many case studies on intercultural collaborative projects have already been conducted. By connecting people with people at a distance through ICT, educators can open their classes to society implement open-ended education. Such a learning environment encourages "learning through boundary-crossing, where students create knowledge with heterogeneous groups beyond their belonging community.
This study discussed how to use ICT and under what conditions the ICT can be used for supporting students' learning through boundary crossing. -

Course of studies of Japanese, Math, Science, Social Studies, Living Environmental Studies and Integrated Studies were analyzed to find out "thinking verbs" required to accomplish learning activities. Finally 19 thinking verbs were extracted as thinking skills.
These thinking skills appear in turn in each grade and sometimes multiple skills are related to the same learning activities. At the same time, some skills are logically more complex than others. The thinking skills were structured into a relation-map based on those relationships.
On the other hand, a learning program was developed to train just important thinking skills. This program is focusing to the procedure of each skill and show learners the procedure using thinking tools. That program was implemented and examined in Kansai University Elementary School. -

This study investigates authentic learning in the field of Japanese language acquisition through an international collaborative project between Kyoto and Hawaii. Through video conferencing and social networking, students in Kyoto teach Japanese conversation to students in Hawaii. The authors designed this learning environment based on ten design elements for authentic activities. After 3 times practice from 2010-2012 based on design approach, the following 2 factors that activate authentic learning were clarified; (a) promoting students to reconstruct their prior learning theory based on their actual experiences and (b) encouraging the students to reflect their experiences from professional viewpoints.

The authors developed an innovation model on an informatization of education in line with the actual situation of Japanese schools. The model was developed based on the previous studies and field researches. The field researches were conducted not only in Japan but also in UK in order to identify the cultural backgrounds by comparing with different situations.
The developed model consists of two different processes on informatization of education: One is a modification process promoted by integrating ICT with current teaching styles, and the other is an innovation process caused by new concept of scholastic ability, transformative teaching methodology and excellent learning environments characterized by the holistic school innovation including curriculum development and renewal of school management system. The developed model was validated by consulting cases of forty primary and middle schools in Japan. -
