In the sociological study on influence that the physical environment in the organization gave in a body, feelings , I paid my attention to physical environments (artifact, space, scenery) that had not been regarded as important in the conventional organization study so and built a theoretical model of “organization as psychic prison / human as information illiterate.” As a result, I became able to compare a prison, a hospital, a school, the organization such as the company regardless of profit, non-profit.

竹中 克久
本年度は、著書の出版、論文の発表を積極的に行った。大野道邦、油井清光とともに、『身体の社会学』(世界思想社)を共編著し、そのなかで「組織の美学--組織論と身体・感情・感覚」と題した章を執筆し、P.ガリアルディやA.ストラッティらが提起する組織の美学的アプローチについて検討を行った。また学術論文としては「続・組織目的概念の学説史的(再)検討--機能主義でも解釈主義でもなく」と題した論考を神戸大学社会学研究会発行の『社会学雑誌』に寄稿し、組織的目的概念のシンボリックな特性を明らかにした。また、日本社会学会発行の『社会学評論』にも「組織戦略を社会学的見地から検討する--認知的・道具的合理性から理解可能性へ」と題した論文を投稿し、受理された。そのなかで、認知的・道具的合理性のみが特化した結果、組織論では戦略概念のみが重視されている現状を指摘し、新たに理解可能性、アカウンタビリティといった基準や概念が重要であることを提起した。また、日本社会学会大会ではその研究成果の一部を「シンボリック・メディアとしての組織目的--パーソンズ、バーナード、エツィオーニの比較から」と題し、発表する機会を得た。
そのほか、企業博物館の調査を積極的に行った。東京電力、JT、トヨタ自動車らの企業博物館において、インタビューをはじめとした社会調査を行い、資料の比較分析を行った。
