本研究はクリスチャンが人口の１％強しかいない日本でなぜキリスト教主義学校が隆盛しているのかを探ることを目的とする。2020年度前年度末に行ったウェブモニター調査（15－29歳/東京・神奈川在）の分析を行い、2021年度その論文化作業を目指した。
本研究採択後に出た井上章一ほか『ミッションスクールはなぜ美人が多いのか』（2018）によると、①日本のキリスト教徒は少ないが、日本人はダブルに信仰をする民族であり、キリスト教が洗礼という手続きを要さなければキリスト教を含めトリプルな信仰をする人は多かった。②その証拠はキリスト教式結婚式及びキリスト教主義学校の隆盛である。③皇族女子のキリスト教主義学校入学が多いのも愛と奉仕の精神を育むとの期待があるからである、とされる。
キリスト教主義学校の設立目的を推測させる設問と、キリスト教主義学校生徒・学生のイメージを聞く設問の回答を、当人あるいは家族のキリスト教主義学校への通学経験の有無等による「キリスト教主義学校関与度」の設問とクロスさせることにより、これらの是非を検討した。①のトリプルな信仰の存在及びそれと②のキリスト教主義学校との関連については、キリスト教主義学校の設立目的を推測させる設問において「信者にならなくても、キリスト教の教えを守ることによって、救われる可能性のある人を増やすこと」という選択肢を選ぶ者が、キリスト教主義学校当事者に多いこと等から確認された。それはインタビュー調査で同志社卒業生から得られた「徳育としてのキリスト教」とも合致し③も確認できる。またキリスト教主義学校当事者の方がキリスト教式結婚式及び皇族女子のキリスト教主義学校入学に肯定的であることも確認できた。以上からトリプルな信仰の意識は確認できたが、これは丸山真男のいう首尾一貫性があるがゆえにキリスト教が日本では排除されがちというテーゼに対する反証となる。 -
Social Movements at the Time of Crisis? Who Participates in Anti-Nuclear and Anti-Security Treaty Movements and Why?

We conducted an online survey to 77,084 web monitors and a mail survey to 11,522 Greater Tokyo residents, which clarified the following two topics: (1) leftists dominated among demonstrators and class factors could hardly explain who participated in demonstrations. Another finding is that anti-nuclear demonstrators are very likely to participate in anti-security law demonstrations, which means participation can reduce the hurdle to get involved in social movements. (2) we also analyzed characteristics of online right-wingers and found that they are not characterized by any class origins.

Global Social Movement (=GSM), a form of civil action that runs throughout the globe, has emerged in the last decades of the 20^<th> century. Its campaigns and actual activities are often observed in occasions of international political and economic events, such as the WTO ministerial and the G8/G20 Summits. Little has been known, however, about the dynamics and mechanisms in the formation of the GSM. This study has explored the emergence and the impact of the GSM, investigating from organizational phase, formation of the protest action, to its cultural factors that lie behind the GSM, and has achieved several important research findings that will be listed as contributions to the academic area of sociology and political science.

The focus of this study is multicultural families (mixed marriage couples and their family members) living in X city, Y city, and the outskirts area of these two cities. This area is located in a northern edge in the Tokyo metropolitan area, and show population increase in late years as bedroom towns of Tokyo. The purpose of this study is to clarify what kind of lifestyle do multicultural families in this area form, what kind of networks do they reproduce, and what meaning do they give their local network. Objects of this study are families with newcomer Korean wives and Japanese husbands. Data are collected through intensive interview and participant observation to key informants.. Using the data, life history of the Korean women, and their adaptation and dissatisfaction to family life and community life are analyzed. As a result, we found both commonality and diversity on key informants' life histories. The commonality are found in (1)hometown area, (2)mother as"a full-time homemaker", (3)release from support responsibility for perents, (4)relationship between working experience in Korea and interest in Japan, (5)educational background, and (6)family form(non-livinig together with parents of her spouse.) In addition, we typified them depending on (1)their Japanese image and contact experiences with Japanese, and(2)their purpose of coming to Japan. This typology show correlation to their stance, or commitment to Japanese society, which has been mentioned as"difficulty in life".

理論研究については,観光研究の体系化,観光研究における,課題,概念の共有可能性,学際的な研究の必要性について,社会学,心理学,文化人類学,経済学,交通論の各学問分野からの討論が行なわれた.事前の共有化を目指すよりも,むしろ,共同研究の中で各自が自らの分析道具を用いて具体的な現象を「切ってみせ」,その結果として,概念の「事後的な共有」が達成されて行く方向が望ましいとの共通見解が得られた.また,同時に観光研究には,学際的なアプローチが不可欠であることが確認された.これらの成果については,『現代観光研究』(嵯峨野書院)にまとめられ,8年の6月に発行された.
実証研究については,日光地区事業者調査,住民調査がそれぞれ,約4000サンプル,約2000サンプルの規模で行なわれた.これらの結果の一部を用いて,日本観光学会第74回全国大会において,研究報告が行なわれた.ここでは「地域の国際化と観光の関わり」,「観光客認知に関する構造について」の試論的な分析結果が報告された.さらに,地域住民や,事業者,行政への聞き取り調査から,「外来文化受容の舞台としての日光が観光対象化へと変容していく過程に関する研究」,「日光とその周辺都市における権力・権威構造とその継承の研究」,「日光杉並木の保存問題と観光的利用」,「もうひとつの町おこし-日光二荒山神社のだいこく祭り-」といった研究成果が,交通移動関係の調査からは,「観光地における交通需要管理-奥日光の事例-」といった研究成果が集約されつつある. -
近代日本のユートピア運動とジャーナリズム

作年度は狄嶺文庫に残されたいる狄嶺の遺稿の検討や、各地に散在する狄嶺会会員の収蔵する関連文書を閲覧してきた。今年度もこの作業は進めたが、『地涌のすがた』、『場の研究』などを中心に、狄嶺のユートピア論の思想耕三の解明に重点をおいた。そこで明らかになったことを列挙する。
1)狄嶺のテクストは錯綜し難解であるが、それはもともと文章として読まれるより、狄嶺が主宰した東京世田谷の牛欄寮や、信州で行った連続講演に集まった人々を対象とする提話であり、聞かれるものであったからである。逆に、それらの場に集まった人々の生活や関係性ぬきには、狄嶺の思想のキイ概念である「場」、「行」、「家稗」、「農乗」、「史乗」も理解されない。
2)狄嶺にとって「場」とは教育の場である。しかし、その場はたんなる学校をこえ、家庭も社会も、教育的価値のみられるところはすべて場なのである。国民教育は世界教育へと重ねあわさられ、拡大される。具体的な日常生活と世界教育との連続性の強調。
3)「行」はこのような思想を生活実践のなかで感得すること、具体的には農場の生活の中で身につけることである。「行」は成形化を通じて「場」へと接続させる。こうして、場において個のパースペクティヴは全体のパースペクティヴに拡大される。
4)このような視点から、狄嶺は1937年の盧溝橋事件、日中衝突について考察し、批判する。歴史は集団の相互作用のうちでつくられるが、そのことは強力の論理を排除する。成人した人格としての国家が主体である普遍史乗学からみると、日本の中国にたいする行動は狄嶺には許容できないものであった。
5)晩年の狄嶺は、中央の総合雑誌で活躍した大正期とはことなり、『新時代』など小さなメディアや講演などでの活動が多くなる。しかし、語りかける対象の縮小はかれら内部での関係をより密接にしていったのである。 -
火山噴火災害の地域社会に及ぼす影響と住民意識(続)

本年度に実施した主な作業は、以下の二つである。
1.全国主要火山についての資料の整理。
この作業は、火山噴火災害の地域社会に及ぼす影響を明らかにするためのもので、北海道駒ケ岳、十勝岳、浅間山、伊豆大島、三宅島、阿蘇山、雲仙岳、桜島の8火山について、以下の資料を整理した。(1)噴火災害に関する資料:明治期以降の大規模噴火災害に関する資料(公的記録、統計資料、新聞記事など)。(2)地域社会の変動に関する資料:昭和20年以降に大規模噴火が発生した火山の周辺市町村の社会変動に関する統計資料。(3)噴火災害後の複興過程に関する資料(統計資料、自治体史、新聞記事など)。(4)防災対策に関する資料:火山周辺市町村の防災対策(地域防災計画など)や自主防災組織の現状、及びそれらの形成過程の資料。これらに資料については、資料目録を作るとともに、カードによる検策が可能な形式で整理を行った。また、(2)、(3)による統計資料で、火山地帯周辺地域の人口、産業構造、自治体財政、住民生活などの時系列的変化の分折に着手した。
2.住民意識調査の実施
北海道駒ケ岳、十勝岳周辺の6町で、一般住民を対象に、(1)火山噴火災害の知識、(2)火山活動の観測・予知体制の知識、(3)自治体の防火対制の知識、(5)災害観などを主要調査項目とする住民調査を実施した。また、浅間山、伊豆大島、阿蘇山、桜島などの他の火山周辺の住民を対象とする調査も企画した。
これらの作業は、当初3年の計画で始ったものであり、そのため本年度で完了することができなかった。残された作業については、今後早急に完了する予定である。
