This research project entitled "A Research on Contemporary Philosophy and Tradition in Global China" designated the current new trend emerging along with China's rapid progress to be a new global power as "China's globalization" or "globalizing China". As China's international presence has been getting larger, it is now more necessary to examine what kinds of philosophical discourses are generated to influence international politics, economics, culture and academic discourse.
The research is neither area studies or social scientific one, but is study in humanities, particularly taking philosophical and historical approach. Contemporary philosophy related to globalizing China requires profound understanding of traditional thoughts in Chinese as well. Built on such an understanding, this research paid more attention to modern reinterpretation of pre-modern Chinese philosophy to provide some new analytic framework to researches of Chinese philosophy and intellectual history. -

An investigation on the Daoist Canon in the Imperial Household Library of Japan was performed by compiling a catalogue which contains the bibliographical information ofeach volumes in all of Three Caverns and Four Supplements. In addition, an investigation report on the history, the preservation condition of the Canon, its merits as well as the demerits of the popular version of Daoist Canon by comparison among various versions of Daoist Canon, was completed. Furthermore, preliminary firsthand investigation on the other Daoist Canon in and outside Japan, as well as the closely related Buddhist Canon (Tripitaka) in Japan was also completed.
The findings above were published in the booklet form report on the “Research and investigation on the Ming edition of Daoist Canon mainly focusing on the Canon in the Imperial Household Library Japan”. -
唐宋期における模倣の問題

昨年度の成果を踏まえ、張旭の狂草が同時代の思潮の中でどのような意味をもつのか、また、筆法の一つである撥鐙法の伝授について、そこで張旭の名が登場しないことの意味について研究した。
前者については、昨年度にまとめた論文「筆法と筆意-張旭の位置づけをめぐって」が公表され、さらにそれを道教や禅宗における師から弟子への法の伝授と比較した発表を、「略論唐代筆法伝授之中的幾個問題」と題し、6月に台湾で開かれた「第十届文学与美学曁第二届中国古代文藝思想国際学術検討会」にて行なった。「張長史十二意筆法記」に描かれる張旭から顔真卿への伝授の場面は、道教における師受の儀式と類似するが、不老長寿という具体的な目的をもち、かたちある口訣の伝授を内容とし、みずから独自に悟ることを戒める道教の伝授のあり方は、筆法伝授のあり方とは異なっている。筆法伝授は、禅宗の師資相承に類似し、どちらも自ら悟ることを最も大事にし、悟った法は忘れ去るべきものとされる。またこうした悟りの独自性は、悟りの曖昧さをも含意し、それを補うものとして伝授の系譜が作成された可能性を指摘した。
後者の撥鐙法については、「狂の抑圧-撥鐙法の伝授」と題した論文を公表し、狂が模倣の対象となることで、狂そのものが張旭の名とともに抑圧された可能性を論じた。
また8月にはこうした狂の模倣の問題系が、思想史や宗教史とどう関わっていくかについて、フランスのアンヌ・チェン氏と意見交換を行ない、貴重なアドバイスを頂戴した。 -
