Most studies have focused on the supply chain integration of directly linked activities, such as R&D and production, production and marketing, and R&D and marketing. They explored methods to solve the dyadic trade-offs. However, this produces limited insight and fails to capture the supply chain integration comprehensively as a single system firm-wide perspective. This research explored “how do MNCs implement triad integration among R&D, production, and marketing activities, which are dispersed across countries, to succeed in the overseas markets?”

This study investigates and analyzes the problems and solutions faced by the global supply chain management of today's companies in the automotive, electronics, and apparel industries. In all of these industries, the procurement of parts and materials at the upstream of the supply chain is the key, and in order to improve the adaptability of the supply chain to the market, it has become clear that "comprehensive manufacturing capabilities," which are a combination of "product capabilities," "production site capabilities," "sales capabilities," and "production-sales collaboration capabilities," are required.

This research project introduces the diversity in supply chains, from raw materials to finished goods, that the author has identified heretofore by focusing on timing controllers, and then questions differences in timing controllers by comparing supply chains across industries.
We come to the following conclusions: (1) there are companies that can be called timing controllers in supply chains, ranging from raw materials to finished products; (2) timing controllers vary by supply chain, and include diverse industries, from commercial businesses to specialty firms; (3) overall costs are reduced because of their existence; and (4) timing controllers are intermediaries that separate, particularly temporally, production and consumption, and provide a fine tuning system that goes far beyond that imagined in prior studies.

This research project analyzed how management accounting can help production processes concluded inside Japan, when they are developed across a national border. The research project adopted micro approaches, that is, mainly the research methods of literature investigation and interview. Specifically, the researchers investigated the practices of production management and management accounting in the middle offices of corporate headquarters and domestic and international manufacturing departments of Japanese companies, centering on Komatsu Ltd., and made public the research findings in academic conferences and scientific journals.

This research tried to analyze activities of manufacturing companies from the viewpoint of time-based competitiveness. In the business environment in recent years, “Speed” is regarded as important in every aspect. However, what we showed in this research is the case studies of companies that utilize long cycle-time in manufacturing and get competitiveness. In view of today's intercompany competition, we have to pay attention not only to aspects of the surface, visible and fast manufacturing cycles, but also to the behind, invisible and slow manufacturing cycles.

A supply system in overseas production of the Japanese automobile industry was converted into direct supply at the sites taking Riemann shock as an opportunity. The grown-up tempo of the overseas production of the parts manufacturer easily exceeded automobile company.New "affiliate of Japanese descend" is being formed into huge combination of automobile company and a parts manufacturer in foreign countries. On the other hand the auto parts shipping amount in Japan hangs over peaking in 2007, and the management of a small-to-midium-sized parts manufacturer is severe.
The international competitiveness of automotive supplier industry is supported by the height of this QCD management standard. and this is the condition to support affiliates formation of Japanese descent and the high grown rate in the overseas production. But in the country the burden to maintain QCD management standard causes management difficulty . Fundamental conversion of conventional purchasing policy is needed/

The purpose of this study is to examine the way of manufacturing to create high-added value and particularly show measures to fulfill that. And I emphasize the point of organizational coordination between production and sales. We have examined sample survey how SME could have changed their positions with their business acquaintances for past ten years. Position means the roles to their business acquaintances. We assume these roles as 7 grades, from main suppliers to simple subcontractors. We revealed that the ratio was below 5%, which was far less than we had expected. And we also have revealed that the firms which could have changed their positions to upward had extended their market by product innovation.
