    The problem is that the transmission characteristics of digital coherent optical communication systems are affected by high-speed polarization state fluctuations and phase fluctuations of about 10 kHz or more caused by the mechanical vibration of optical cables. Backscattered light measurement (OTDR) technology has been used as a vibration detection technique for a long time. Still, the maximum frequency of detectable vibration is limited to several hundred Hz by the period of the repeating pulse train determined by the fiber length. There was a problem. Therefore, in this research, we conceived a frequency sweep light method with no upper limit on the frequency detected in principle. We constructed a system using this method and succeeded in detecting vibrations of 140 kHz at the maximum.
