    Many types of elastoplastic dampers have been developed to suppress the vibration of buildings and piping systems during earthquakes. These elastoplastic dampers are one-way or two-dimensional dampers. In this paper the authors propose a three-dimensional elastoplastic damper using four semicir-cular metal rods. The trial damper was made, and its resisting force characteristic was discussed analyti-cally and experimentally. Next, an experimental model of a one-story detached house having the elas-toplastic damper was also made, and the seismic responses of the house model were measured using a permanent magnet-type shaking table. The experimental results were compared with the calculated re-sults, and the propriety of the calculations was confirmed

    Elastoplastic dampers utilizing plastic bending of metal rods or plates are widely used in seismic isolation systems and earthquake-proof devices for buildings. In this paper, the authors propose two types of elastoplastic dampers for corners of detached houses. These elastoplastic dampers uti-lize elastoplastic bending of quarter arc metal rods and V-shaped metal rods. A plane detached house model consisting of four columns, three beams and a concentrated mass was used in seismic response analyses and experiments. The bottom of each column was attached to the base plate through a rubber isolator so that the house model vibrates enough to cause dampers plastic defor-mation. The trial elastoplastic dampers were made, and their resisting force characteristics were confirmed experimentally and theoretically. Next, the seismic responses of the house model with the dampers were measured using a shaking table. The experimental results were compared with the calculated results, and the propriety of the calculations was confirmed. The experimental and calculated results showed that the elastoplastic dampers are effective in suppressing the relative displacement of the detached house model.

    This paper presents analyses of anti-plane problems for isotropic and anisotropic semi-infinite body due to single force, diploe-force and screw dislocation with two surface boundaries such as free and fixed conditions. Distributions of stresses and displacements under single force and screw dislocation for the above two boundaries are illustrated by some graphical representations as numerical examples.

    高分子材料の変形挙動の特徴として,伸張過程におけるくびれ伝ぱが挙げられる.このくびれ伝ぱの変形解析を有限要素法を用いて行った.解析対象は丸棒試験片で,その両端に強制変位を与えた.材料は線形弾性範囲,加工硬化係数の小さい塑性範囲およびそれの大きい塑性範囲からなるトリリニアな弾-硬化塑性体であり,小さい方の加工硬化係数をパラメータにして計算した.その結果,くびれ発生点とくびれ伝ぱの開始点は,伸びに対する直径の縮み変化率‐伸び曲線を用いることによって定量的に求められることがわかった.
